Why this goes through your company
Your driver record was created by the transport company that engages you, and it supplied your documents. It therefore needs to know about the deletion: without your record, it can no longer assign you a ride.
This does not take away your rights. You can exercise your right to erasure directly with ValTransfer even if your company does not make the request — see below.
Normal route: through the company
Ask your partner company to send us the request to remove your record. This is the fastest route, and it prevents a ride being assigned to you in the meantime.
Direct route: by you
Email support@valtransfer.ch with the subject "Delete driver account", from your registered email address, stating:
- Your first and last name
- The name of the company that engages you
- Your registered phone number
Do not send a copy of your licence, criminal record extract or OASI card: we do not need them for this request, and a sensitive document sent by email creates an additional risk.
What is erased
- First name, last name, date of birth, email, phone number
- OASI (AVS) number
- Driving licence, B121 professional licence and cantonal authorisation references
- Dates on which the criminal record and debt collection extracts were checked
- Vehicle data and recorded positions
- Average rating and ratings attached to your record
What remains
The rides you carried out stay in the company's accounts and in ValTransfer's for ten years, without your identifying data where technically possible. An ongoing ride must be completed before any deletion.
If your company objects to your request or does not pass it on, write to us directly. The right to erasure belongs to the person concerned, not to their employer.
