Account & data deletion

How to request deletion of your account and data, what is erased, and what must legally be kept.

Last updated: 21 September 2026

Making the request

You are a driver

Delete driver account

What is erased

  • Your contact details: name, phone number, email address.
  • The pickup and destination addresses of your rides, and their coordinates.
  • Your ratings and comments.
  • For a driver: licence and authorisation references, OASI number, check dates, vehicle data and recorded positions.

What must be kept, and why

Accounting records cannot be erased on request

Swiss law requires accounting records to be kept for ten years. Records strictly necessary to evidence a payment — amount, date, transaction identifier — are therefore kept even after a deletion request. They are separated from your contact details as far as possible.

Likewise, an ongoing ride or an open dispute prevents immediate deletion: the data needed to settle it is kept until the matter is closed.

Timescale

[TO COMPLETE: the handling time you commit to.] The FADP requires a response within a reasonable period, as a rule thirty days.

Getting a copy of your data

You can request a copy of the data concerning you, before or independently of any deletion. Email support@valtransfer.ch with "data access" in the subject line.

If our answer does not satisfy you

You may contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
